Creating a production company

For this task we had to make a short clip with the name of a production company.

Logo

To make the logo I used Photoshop. To get the idea for this I found a website called 'Photoshop essentials' and saw one of their text manipulation ideas was a light burst so it looks like there is a light behind the text and you see the light beams shining through from behind. My logo ended up like this:

Video

To make this into a short video I used a fade so t was like the light was increasing in brightness behind the text. I really wanted the start the fade in the middle of the image but I could not get it to work so I used a normal fade and I think it looks just as good.

Sound

To add sound to this I searched for sound effects on YouTube and finally decided a wind chime would be ideal. I then used a converter to convert the sound to an mp3. Unfortunately there was an intro on the video so when I put the music over my short clip it only played the intro. To fix this I used audacity to cut off the beginning so when I put it over my video again it only played the wind chime.

Evaluation

If I were to do this task again I would find a way to get the fade to start in the centre to give the light effect. Also, I would find a sound effect that was more dramatic so it has more impact.
