Sound quality research

We have decided that at the beginning we would used the sound of traffic so I am going to research whether it would be better to use sound from YouTube or to film our own.

For this investigation I have found some sound from YouTube that would be ideal for what we want to use. This is the first 30 seconds from that sound.

I then went out to film the sound of a busy road. I filmed 30 seconds to see how the sound would be. I found that the sound was very quiet and it would not be very effective as you would only just hear the sound of a few cars passing and it is over powered by the sound of the wind.

The sound from YouTube is better as there is more variety of sound and the sound is clearer so we can hear every car and horn whereas the recorded sound has lots of background noise which would be difficult to remove.
