Practical using Photoshop

Practical using Photoshop

Text manipulation

To manipulate text on Photoshop I have found a tutorial online that I followed to put a photo into text.

The process

Step 1: Find the photo you want to put into the text and save it to your documents.

Step 2: Open the photo in Photoshop.

Step 3: Duplicate the background layer

Step 4: Add a solid colour layer

Step 5: Make sure layer 1 is the top layer

Step 6: Use the text type tool to add in what text you want

Step 7: Format text using the tool bar at the top of the screen

Step 8: Ensure layer 1 is still on top.

Step 9: Create a clipping mask while layer 1 is active.

Step 10: Select the type layer and go to edit then free transform to further edit the text.

Step 11: You can then add a drop shadow

Here is my final product

Evaluation

This text manipulation is very effective and has a lot of impact. I think that it could be used in our film opening to provide context, we could put the image in the title for our film opening. On the other hand it would be difficult to include seamlessly and so it makes sense.
